A refrigerator?

There is an older sister in our ward who does not have a refrigerator.  Does anyone have one to donate?  Even a small, college-type fridge would be appreciated.  Contact Bernadette Finley.

Caregiver needed

The McGill family is looking for a caregiver who could work from 10 – 2:00, or any other 4-hour time period up to 1-5:00.  The sister would need some help walking downstairs and to the bathroom.  It would also involve showering her a few days and preparing lunch, but mostly just being with her wherever she goes.  She often rests and would be a cooperative patient. They would be paid about $10/hour, and would need to provide their own transportation.  If interested, call Natalie McGill 379-9964.

Ward Service Project - UPDATED

The ward service project for Saturday, September 8th, from 9:00am to approximately 12:00pm.

1300 North Parham Road, Tuckahoe, VA 23229
1302 North Parham Road, Tuckahoe, VA 23229

Attached are pictures of the homes provided by the county.  At least one resident will be home (disabled) and someone from Henrico County will make an appearance.

Please carpool if possible.  There is not parking on N Parham, so please park on the neighboring side roads.

We will be pressure washing, painting, and doing some yard work for these homes to help clean them up a bit.

The county will provide us with paint, brushes, rollers, scrapers, garbage bags, ladders, and a pressure washer.

Ian Lipscomb said he could bring a push mower.  If you have some yard tools, it's not absolutely necessary to bring them - we just want to make sure everyone has something to do -- there won't be enough brushes/rollers for everyone the whole time.

We will provide drinks (incl. water) and then will have pizza delivered around the time that we are finishing up (hopefully around 11:30am).

If you have any questions please contact brother Tom Andersen.
