Tri-Stake Single Adult Sacrament Meeting This Sunday

Event date: May 19, 20123
Event time: 6 PM
Location: 5600 Monument Ave.

Event description: The service will be followed by a “Linger Longer” and participants are encouraged to bring some “Snacks to Share” during this activity. This does not replace sacrament meeting but provides singles with new opportunity to participate in sacrament services and to fellowship with other singles in a comfortable environment.

Stake Employment Counseling (by appointment)

Event description: By appointment only. Stake Employment Counseling, 2nd and 4th Wednesdays at 7 PM. This is an opportunity for members to work with employment specialists one on one for employment-related activities such as writing resumes, networking and goal setting. Career and Employment Workshop

The workshop runs from  9am - 4pm. Registration is required. Register by contacting Joshua Hoffman at jhislds@gmail.com or 804-714-6888. Please bring your own lunch. This workshop is for anyone who is looking for a job, considering changing jobs, or changing careers. This is an opportunity to polish the skills needed to successfully land a job in today's tough environment. We will cover all aspects of job hunting. You will learn more about what resources are available to you and how to present your skills and experience in a compelling way. Seating is limited so we ask that you register in advance.

Stake Temple Day

Our Stake Temple Day is on Saturday, May 25th. We would like to invite all members to plan now to join us that day at the Temple. While there will not be an organized meeting this time, this is still a special day set aside for our stake to visit the Temple together. Many wards and branches may be designating certain times to attend endowment sessions together, as well as arranging for car pooling, etc. Please check with your ward leadership on their plans for that day. As this day is fast approaching, please ensure that your recommend is current or meet with a member of your Bishopric/Branch Presidency to work on obtaining a current recommend.
