Ward Family Home Evening

Beginning November 5th there will be a Ward Family Home Evening Night.  This will be held monthly on the first Monday at 7pm at the Monument Bldg.  If you have any questions please contact Linda Gunn at 672-7703 or Carol Caddell at 201-5872 if you have any questions or you would like to participate in this opportunity to share a lesson & fellowship.

Trunk or Treat

The Glen Allen Ward's Trunk or treat is Saturday, October 27 6:00pm costume contest but no masks please.  And don't forget your pot of chili if you want to participate in the chili cook-off!  Everyone is invited so come out and enjoy time with your ward family.

Business to business calls to business owners and C-level executives, setting appointments for our local account managers to present the Unishippers' UPS Platinum Program for business shippers. All calls are business to business and there is no marketing to homes or individuals. Unishippers provides customer lead lists, scripts, and training.

Candidate will make 80 calls per day, tracking call outcomes in spreadsheets and sending confirmation e-mails to contact and account managers.

Pay:
$11.00 per hour to $14.00 per hour
Bonuses based on exceeding the expected number of successful appointments on a monthly basis.

Duration/Hours Per Week:
Part-Time, 20 hours per week. We are willing to customize a work schedule for the perfect candidate & will work around school vacations, class schedules or hours for a second job.

Shift/Work Days:
All hours are to be within a 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM time block.
Monday through Friday. No nights, weekends or holidays. Ever!

Minimum Requirements of Employer:  Bachelors Degree Desired

Experience/Qualifications:
Business to business experience is desired, but not needed - if you are friendly and engaging on the phone, you will be successful. A background in shipping (LTL or UPS/FedEx) is a plus. Must touch type at 50+ wpm and be proficient in MS Office and Internet work. Must have a college-level vocabulary and excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.

Candidates need to be able work on their own without supervision once trained.

General Conference Oct 6 & 7


The First Presidency and Quorum of the Twelve Apostles invite all members and friends of the Church to participate in the 182nd Semiannual General Conference on Saturday and Sunday, October 6 and 7, 2012.

Messages will be given by the First Presidency, members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, and other General Authorities and general officers of the Church.

General sessions will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., followed by the priesthood session at 8:00 p.m., eastern daylight time. Two more general sessions will be held on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. eastern daylight time.

Viewing Live

Conference will be available at the Stake Center on Pump Rd and select other buildings via satellite broadcast. Please check with your ward leaders to see if it will be available in your building. Priesthood session will be held at the Stake Center on Saturday evening.

Inviting Others to Participate

The General Conference section of LDS.org includes banners, video and audio widgets, and infographics that can be embedded onto a personal blog or website to invite friends and associates to participate in conference. This page also includes a link to the Church̢۪s Facebook page, which contains a General Conference event.

Reviewing Archives

Within 24 hours of a conference session̢۪s conclusion, video and audio files of that session will be available in major Church languages at conference.lds.org. The Thursday following general conference, text of all talks will be posted in English at conference.lds.org. The November issues of the Liahona and Ensign will feature conference addresses. More information on what and when conference materials become available can be accessed online.
