Single Adult Sacrament Meetings

Tri-Stake Single Adult Sacrament Meetings.  These sacrament meetings will be held on the second Sunday of each month at 6:00 PM in the Monument building. The service will be followed by a “Linger Longer” and participants are encouraged to bring some “Snacks to Share” during this activity. This does not replace sacrament meeting in the unit on the second Sunday, but provides singles with new opportunity to participate in sacrament services and to fellowship with other singles in a comfortable environment.

Priesthood Leadership Session - Saturday, Dec 1st - 4:00PM at the Stake Center: This session is for the Priesthood Leadership of the wards, branches and stake. More detail on who should attend will be communicated to the ward leadership.

Adult Session - Saturday, Dec 1st - 7:00PM at the Stake Center. This session is for all adult members, friends or investigators of the church.

General Session - Sunday, Dec 2nd - 10:00AM. This session is for all members, friends and investigators of all ages. Please attend the session for your home ward as indicated below:

Book Club change

Book club for next week has been changed from Thursday, November 15, to TUESDAY, November 20 @ 7pm at the home of Heidi Maxfield.  Mark your calendars.

Brother Harton

Gary Harton experienced a serious head injury from a fall this past Saturday.  Currently, he is at MCV hospital in stable condition.  Margie, his wife, is by his side, receiving support from her family.  Please keep Gary and Margie in your prayers.

Leaves/Acorns

Ward Family Home Evening

Beginning November 5th there will be a Ward Family Home Evening Night.  This will be held monthly on the first Monday at 7pm at the Monument Bldg.  If you have any questions please contact Linda Gunn at 672-7703 or Carol Caddell at 201-5872 if you have any questions or you would like to participate in this opportunity to share a lesson & fellowship.

Trunk or Treat

The Glen Allen Ward's Trunk or treat is Saturday, October 27 6:00pm costume contest but no masks please.  And don't forget your pot of chili if you want to participate in the chili cook-off!  Everyone is invited so come out and enjoy time with your ward family.

Job Opportunity

Business to business calls to business owners and C-level executives, setting appointments for our local account managers to present the Unishippers' UPS Platinum Program for business shippers. All calls are business to business and there is no marketing to homes or individuals. Unishippers provides customer lead lists, scripts, and training.

Candidate will make 80 calls per day, tracking call outcomes in spreadsheets and sending confirmation e-mails to contact and account managers.

Bonuses based on exceeding the expected number of successful appointments on a monthly basis.

Duration/Hours Per Week:

Part-Time, 20 hours per week. We are willing to customize a work schedule for the perfect candidate & will work around school vacations, class schedules or hours for a second job.

Shift/Work Days:

All hours are to be within a 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM time block.

Minimum Requirements of Employer:  Bachelors Degree Desired

Experience/Qualifications:

Business to business experience is desired, but not needed - if you are friendly and engaging on the phone, you will be successful. A background in shipping (LTL or UPS/FedEx) is a plus. Must touch type at 50+ wpm and be proficient in MS Office and Internet work. Must have a college-level vocabulary and excellent grammar, spelling and punctuation skills.

Candidates need to be able work on their own without supervision once trained.
